Wallpaper preparation
Wallpaper Primer: Ask Which Surface Preparation Is Included
Wallpaper Primer: Ask Which Surface Preparation Is Included. Wallpaper preparation may include a primer or sealer selected for the surface and wallcovering.
Design inspiration imagery: York Wallcoverings. Not an ETT completed project.
Wallpaper preparation may include a primer or sealer selected for the surface and wallcovering. It is worth asking about that stage before comparing installation estimates. The word primer alone does not identify the complete preparation plan.
Provide the wall history
Explain whether the surface is new, painted, repaired, or previously wallpapered. Send the exact wallcovering instructions and photos of the wall. Ask which preparation steps are included and whether the quote allows for conditions that can only be evaluated after removal.
Keep the scope written
Record who supplies the preparation materials and who performs the work. Avoid buying a generic product without checking compatibility with the selected wallpaper. Clear preparation details help you compare estimates for the same scope instead of choosing between prices that include different stages.
