Wallpaper quantities cannot always be estimated from square footage alone. The pattern layout can affect how material is used across the wall. Give the installer the exact product information instead of sending only a room's floor dimensions.
Measure the wallpapered surfaces
Record the width and height of each wall and mark doors, windows, and other interruptions. Include the product's stated repeat and match information. Avoid subtracting openings yourself unless the quantity calculation specifically accounts for how strips will be arranged around them.
Review before ordering
Ask for a material assessment for the selected pattern and coverage. Clarify how the product is sold, since a roll description needs to be understood in the supplier's terms. Keep the estimate and final product selection together so a later pattern change does not silently invalidate the quantity plan.
