A staircase accent wall has more than one viewing position. People see it from the landing, the steps, and the room below. Wallpaper planning should account for those changing angles and the practical access needed during installation.
Look up and down
Take photos from the bottom and top of the stairs. Mark handrails, picture frames, and ceiling changes. A large motif can appear very differently across a sloped edge, so discuss the composition before ordering. Include the tallest point when describing the wall rather than using only the height at the landing.
Prepare for access
Tell your contractor about narrow steps, open stair edges, and fixed railings. Suitable working access needs to be assessed by the installer. Confirm what will be moved and how the household will use the stairs while work takes place; a clear access plan matters as much as the wallpaper choice.
