Wallpaper preparation
New Drywall and Wallpaper: Coordinate the Finish Schedule
New Drywall and Wallpaper: Coordinate the Finish Schedule. Wallpaper is a finishing stage in a construction or renovation project.
Design inspiration imagery: York Wallcoverings. Not an ETT completed project.
Wallpaper is a finishing stage in a construction or renovation project. New drywall should be assessed for the selected wallcovering rather than treated as automatically ready. Coordination with the builder helps avoid scheduling installation before the surface work is complete.
Ask about the completed surface
Confirm the planned wall finish, any primer, and who is responsible for preparation. Share the wallpaper instructions with the person handling the drywall. Photograph joints, corners, and repairs when asking for an installation assessment; a wide room picture may not reveal those details.
Plan the handoff
Agree which work must be complete before wallpaper installation begins. Include access, cleaning, and material delivery in the schedule. Elliott's Top Team can review wallpaper installation and wall preparation for a Tampa Bay project without replacing the builder's responsibility for the broader construction scope.
