Room planning
Home Theater Wallpaper: Consider the Screen and Lighting
Home Theater Wallpaper: Consider the Screen and Lighting. Home theater wallpaper should support the room's viewing experience.

Home theater wallpaper should support the room's viewing experience. The wall beside a screen, the wall behind seating, and the entrance wall may need different visual treatment. Start with the lights and screen in normal use.
Check reflections before choosing
Look at samples with the screen on and the room lights dimmed. Finishes can appear different under changing light, so do not choose solely from a product photo. Keep decorative wallcovering separate from any acoustic treatment; appearance alone does not establish sound performance.
Plan around equipment
Mark speakers, cables, outlets, and fixed mounts on a wall sketch. Confirm which items will be removed by an appropriate person before wallpaper installation. Give the installer clear photos of the accessible wall and the intended boundaries so the finished design works with the equipment layout.
