How to Choose an Accent Wall That Feels Intentional
A focal wall works best when it belongs to the room, rather than competing with everything around it.
Start with the room’s focal point
Look at where your eyes naturally land when you enter. The wall behind a bed, a dining area, or a seating arrangement can be a useful starting point. Consider doorways, windows, and furniture before choosing the surface. An uninterrupted wall may give a large pattern more room to breathe, while a smaller area can suit a quieter design.
Connect the pattern to what you already own
Bring home a sample and place it near your flooring, upholstery, and trim. Pick out a color that already appears in the room to help the wallpaper feel connected. View the sample in daylight and under the lights you use at night. A color that looks soft online may read differently in your space.
Plan the whole composition
Think about the placement of artwork, mirrors, and lamps. A strong pattern can do some of the visual work itself, but it still needs a considered arrangement. Send Elliott’s Top Team photos of the wall and the wallpaper details before ordering. We can discuss the installation scope and help you identify the next steps.
